Wantoe T. Wantoe is the Executive Director of both the Center for African Policy and Scholarly Path. He serves on the Board of Trustees of AFS Intercultural Programs and is a member of the Youth Advisory Council. Currently pursuing his second master’s degree at Oxford University, where he is studying for an MSc in Education (Comparative and International Education), Wantoe previously graduated from Oxford’s Master of Public Policy program at the Blavatnik School of Government.
A passionate advocate for women’s and children’s rights, Wantoe has become a prominent voice for global sustainability and youth development in Liberia and across Africa. He previously served on the United Nations Department of Global Communication Youth Steering Committee, highlighting his exceptional leadership and dedication to advancing social causes.
Throughout his career, Wantoe has led impactful initiatives, including organizing rallies, petitions, and policy discussions that have reached thousands of Liberians. In 2013, he was appointed as the youth representative to Liberia's Independent National Human Rights Commission, spearheading efforts to strengthen bystander protection and enhance human rights investigations. During the Ebola outbreak 2014, he documented violations against orphaned children, contributing to his selection as the youngest preliminary speaker at the United Nations World Humanitarian Summit. He was also the National Flag Day Orator in 2023.
Wantoe's dedication has earned him prestigious accolades, including the 2019 Princess Diana Award and recognition as one of eight Young Pacesetters for African Development by the African Renaissance and Diaspora Network. He was featured in Pembroke's 400 Characters, a digital gallery showcasing 400 individuals who contributed significantly to Pembroke College’s 400-year history.
Most recently, Wantoe was a speaker at the 2024 Misk Global Forum in Saudi Arabia, where he shared insights on youth leadership and sustainable development, further solidifying his role as a global changemaker.
