Mr. Roy Chimanikire

Roy joined Econet Wireless (Pvt) Ltd in 2009 from Deloitte, where he was a Partner. Prior to his appointment to Deputy Chief Executive Officer, he served as Finance Director, a role he has served with diligence and dedication.

Roy played a significant role in the successful US$130 million capital raise transaction in February 2017, as well as the unbundling and listing of Cassava Smartech on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange in December 2018.

He is a qualified Chartered Accountant with over 20 years post-qualification experience, and a past President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Zimbabwe (ICAZ). He is also a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.

In recognition of his exemplary achievements in business, Roy is a past recipient of various awards, including the inaugural best prize in the ICAZ Excellence in Business awards of 2021 and the 2019 ICDZ - Director of the Year award.
