Mr. Worship Joshua Frimpong
Co-founder and Executive Director of Eco-Africa Network
Worship Joshua Frimpong is a Ghanaian Climate and Sustainability Advocate whose brand and work in the climate
sector in the last six years, is built on empowering young people and communities to take actionable steps toward
climate resilience. His works sit at the intersection of policy, youth engagement and development and climate legal
reforms.
As the Co-founder and Executive Director of Eco-Africa Network, Worship leads a youth-driven climate
organization that champions sustainability, cleaner energy transitions, and climate action. Over the past five years,
Eco-Africa has trained over 5,000+ young people, partnered with stakeholders to recover more than 500 kilograms
of plastic waste, and organized impactful initiatives such as the Waste Management Conference, which convened
industry leaders and 500+ participants to address pressing environmental challenges.
Additionally, Eco.Africa through its virtual sessions, have advanced climate advocacy and education reaching
5000+ young people in Ghana. In 2024, Worship emerged as one of the 12 African Finalists for the Future of
Energy Innovation Challenge by the Africa Centre for Energy Policy, pitching Eco-Africa ́s groundbreaking
techonlogy, which is focused on building a multilingual mobile app that leverages AI Tools to reduce climate and
energy data into local languages.
In April this year, under his leadership, Eco-Africa convened the maiden Climate Justice Conference aimed at
examining the role of law and policy towards achieving climate justice. The conference witnessed 500+ attendees-
both in-person and virtual, alongside key speakers including the Former Second Lady of Ghana, H. E. Samira
Bawumia, The Minister of State, Climate Change and Sustainability- Hon. Alhaji Baba Issifu Siedu, Former
President of the Ecowas Court of Justice. Your Lordship Justice Edward Amoako, and many others,
Worship has represented youth voices on many local, regional and international platforms including:
