Thandeka is an environmental enthusiast dedicated to researching how access to, and benefits from natural environments can influence social equity. She graduated with distinction in BSc Urban and Regional Planning from North West University, South Africa. Her interests lie at the intersect of urban ecology, urban green infrastructure and traditional ecological knowledge. She aims to explore how nature-based solutions can be incorporated into urban environments to offer both ecological and socio-economic benefits.
