Rachel Otuko

Rachel is a public health researcher and DPhil student in Clinical Medicine at the University of Oxford. Her research focuses on modelling burden estimates and understanding the dynamics and drivers of antimicrobial resistance (AMR), with a particular emphasis on Escherichia coli at a global scale.
Prior to her doctoral studies, Rachel worked as a Research Scientist at the KEMRI-Wellcome Trust Research Programme, where she led the implementation of the health economics component of a clinical trial investigating ivermectin Mass Drug Administration (MDA) for malaria control in Kenya.
