With over twenty years of expertise and experience in Africa and the UK, Bolaji has a proven track record of strategically positioning businesses—from start-ups to established corporations—to enter and thrive within complex African markets. Her focus has been helping these companies overcome the challenges of the unique business landscape of the continent, achieving scale while developing mutually beneficial relationships.

 

As co-founder/Managing Director of the UK-based ETK Group Ltd., Bolaji has led ETK’s consultants to help over 400 global companies make connections in 34 African countries to date. In her professional career, Bolaji has advised various business sizes, covering diverse sectors including Aviation, Financial Services, Health Tech, Oil and Gas, Agriculture, Luxury, Fashion and Beauty, Manufacturing etc. Her previous jobs include working for the Central Bank of Nigeria, Halifax Bank of Scotland UK, and various contract roles, rising to executive leadership.

 

Bolaji is an Entrepreneurship Expert at the Entrepreneurship Centre at Said Business School, Oxford University, as well as a Growth Expert on the Goldman Sachs 10KSB programme. She serves His Majesty's government as an Export Champion for the Department of Business and Trade in the United Kingdom. She is also the board chair of an engineering company, BGEN International as well as a coach and mentor on select programmes and an angel investor to a small portfolio of businesses, mostly female-led.

 

Bolaji’s vast commercial experience saw her being appointed as a director at BGEN UK, the 100-year-old, £200m-turnover industrial engineering company, before becoming the most senior female in the role of Chair of the Board of BGEN International.

In addition, Bolaji was recently named one of the most powerful individuals of African, African-Caribbean, and African-American heritage in Britain for the Black British Powerlist 2024.

 

Bolaji holds a BA in Languages and Linguistics from University of Calabar, Nigeria, and an MSc in International Business Leadership and Management from York School of Management, United Kingdom.
