About

The Graduate Pathways Programme, launched in 2026 as part of the Oxford Africa Conference, connects high-potential African and Africa-focused students with leading organisations shaping the continent’s future. It is a curated bridge between talent and real opportunity across sectors including consulting, finance, policy, energy, and technology.

Why It Matters

Graduate Pathways creates direct, structured access to institutions where skills translate into impact, moving beyond traditional recruitment to build long-term, Africa-focused career pathways.

What the Programme Offers

Oxford–BCG Africa Case Competition

In partnership with Boston Consulting Group (BCG) Africa, students work on a real Africa-focused strategy case reflecting the firm’s work across the continent. Finalists are shortlisted by BCG and move into a dedicated coaching track led by BCG consultants, gaining hands-on exposure to case-solving and recruitment expectations. Winning participants receive tailored interview preparation, direct engagement with senior BCG leadership, and fast-tracked access to recruitment pathways.

Oxford Africa Policy Innovation Blueprint Competition

In partnership with the The Club of Rome, this competition challenges participants to design systems-level policy solutions addressing interconnected issues such as inequality, energy transitions, and institutional capacity. Finalists present their work at the Conference, with winners gaining continued engagement through a paid internship and access to global policy and research networks linked to the Earth4All initiative.

Nsiona Impact Internship (AfriSoc Partnership)

Delivered with Nsiona Impact, this internship places students within a high-impact organisation operating at the intersection of finance and development. Interns contribute to work on sustainable finance, SDG-linked investments, technical assistance, and ecosystem building, gaining practical experience on live projects across African markets.
