Welcome to the AfriSoc Blog! This platform is dedicated to celebrating the incredible achievements of our scholars and alumni while providing a space to amplify all African voices, perspectives, and stories.
The AfriSights magazine contributes to the growing body of literature and media that reframe the African narrative through an Africanist perspective. The blog will replicate this theme by sharing and exploring the opinions and stories of Oxford students and other Africanists in the United Kingdom. By delving into educational ambitions, cultural dynamics, arts, and politics, it aims to foster a vibrant community of writers while documenting the ongoing work and impact of Oxford Africa events. Additionally, the blog will also highlight the achievements, resolutions, and contestations of Oxford Africa’s vast number of events throughout the year.

This introduction to the AfriSoc Blog does a great job of celebrating African voices, student achievements, and meaningful cultural conversations. After reading inspiring community stories like this, I often play Slope Rider which is a fast-paced game where you guide a ball down a slope while avoiding obstacles because it gives me a fun break while reflecting on new ideas and perspectives.
