Maria Jesuorobo serves as Deputy General Counsel at Africell, where she leads a broad portfolio of legal and regulatory matters across the Group and its operational markets. She brings nearly a decade of international experience spanning corporate law, private equity, and financial regulation.

Prior to joining Africell, Maria was a Senior Associate at Clifford Chance in London, advising leading global clients on complex corporate transactions, with a particular focus on private equity. She also held legal and regulatory roles at Barclays Investment Bank and UBS, where she worked across New York, London, and Singapore on major regulatory and strategic initiatives spanning Europe and Asia.

Maria is a qualified solicitor in England and Wales and holds a Master’s degree in Law, Business, and Legal Practice from BPP Law School.
