Christiana Ufomba

Christiana Ufomba is a Nigerian-qualified lawyer pursuing the MSc in Law and Finance (MLF) at the University of Oxford. She is a Mastercard Foundation Scholar, Linacre Wanakaset Scholar, and a member of Linacre College. Prior to Oxford, she worked as an Associate in the Finance and Projects team at Templars, a leading pan-African law firm, where she advised domestic and international clients on complex transactions including project finance, capital markets, and mergers and acquisitions. Christiana is deeply passionate about infrastructure development as a driver of sustainable growth in Africa. She is the founder of the Legally Empowered Network, a non-profit promoting practical legal education, and the She’s Financed Initiative, which advocates for women’s financial inclusion and sustainable infrastructure projects. She holds a First Class Bachelor of Laws degree from Abia State University, graduating as the best student in her class, and achieved First Class Honours at the Nigerian Law School, ranking in the top 2.05% nationally. At Oxford, Christiana serves as a Sustainable Finance 101 Trainer with the Oxford Sustainable Finance Student Society and as Environment Officer at Linacre College. She is excited to serve on the Planning Committee for the 2026 Oxford Africa Conference, where she hopes to contribute meaningfully to advancing Africa-focused dialogue and solutions.
